Did Gov Hogan Shave his head?

Did Hogan Shave his head?

In the Washington Post Maryland Politics Blogs it is written:
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan playfully posed for the camera on July 30, 2015 in Baltimore after his office posted a picture on Facebook showing his hair loss after chemotheraphy. (Patrick Semansky/AP)

I feel terrible about Governor Hogan’s cancer and wish him the best possible results in his treatment. But the post blog raises a question did Hogan lose his hair as a result of Chemotherapy or did he shave his head prior to any radiation induced hair loss.
Governor Hogan certainly can rock the Daddy Warbucks look and the bald dome is a great PR move. So Shaved or Radiated we wish him the best and to all the people with the snarky comments does it really matter?

Pena-Melnyk Lioness or Loser

Joseline Pena-Melnyk Loser or Lioness
Or just Lying

How serious is Joseline Pena-Melnyk as a candidate for Congress in Maryland’s 4th Congressional District.  She has been a member of the Maryland legislature since 2006 and prior to that she was on College Park City Council from 2003-2006.
Despite being in her 10th year in Annapolis she is buried safely on the Health & Government Operations Committee. One of the highlights of her Annapolis career is that she is the Chair of the Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus.

Does being chair of the Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus translate into votes or power?
No the Hispanic Power Players bolted to Glenn Ivey

Liar Liar Pants on fire

One of the low points of her foundering campaign is when she got got caught by the Baltimore Sun telling a big fat fib about her Fund Raising:

“And some candidates include donations from past quarters. Del. Joseline Peña-Melnyk, also running in the 4th District, announced in a press release Monday she had raised $210,000 "since filing." Her FEC report showed she raised $168,000 in the second quarter.
A spokeswoman for Peña-Melnyk said in an email that merging the two quarters was appropriate because that's how long the candidate had been in the race. Besides, spokeswoman Michelle García wrote, the final numbers "are all there in black and white in the campaign's reports to the FEC."”

Not All Agree that Lying is Bad

Joseline Pena Melnyk has very loyal friends such as Jonathan S. of http://marylandscramble.com
Jonathan argues that Joseline was not the only one who lied so it is OK.

we all must decide for ourselves if lying to the Press is a bad thing. Keeping in mind of course that when they lie to the press they are lying to the voters. Maybe Party Fat Cats don't see a problem in lying to the voters.

But is she a Vote Getter?

In all of her victories to the State House she ran 3rd out of 3. Always in last place of the winners she is fortunate that the seat is not very competitive and that the Republicans are impotent in College Park. Just as troubling as her poor showing is that her percentages are trending downward. Could she be running for Congress because she is no longer sure she can hold her seat if challenged in the primary by a democrat.

Mark McLaurin Political Director at Service Employees International Union

"You might well make a case that she is a weaker candidate because many of the precincts in her legislative district are not in the Congressional District and if you wanted to make that argument, it has some merit".

In fairness I have to note that this is as close to agreeing with me as McLaurin got. Even when we disagree I respect him as one of the up and coming leaders in Blue America.

But How Does She do on Constituent Service?
or Does She Hate Trans Gender Americans?

Pena-Melnyk is famous for telling off voters with Full Body Slams such as:

"I'M SICK OF IT DO YOU HEAR ME I'M SICK OF >YOU PEOPLE< CALLING ME SICK OF IT!!!!!"

Screaming at Transgender constiuents as "YOU PEOPLE" is rather odd for a self proclaimed "Progressive". It would even be extra-ordinary if she were a Tea Party Cruz organiser. Then again why doesn't Mike Miller respect her?

NYTimes: These Battle Lines Are Drawn in Yellow

5 years ago Yellow Pages ads weren’t just a choice for local business they were the first and most important choice. Now it is one of many choiuces and it is expensive. Tne New York Times takes a look at the Yellow Pages versus paid Google. The point the Times is missing is why is it one or the other. As Industry leader Leslie Valentin of www.LeslieValentine.Com says, “It is not Yellow Pages or Paid Google, there needs to he a holistic approach that combines the right balance of both with all your other media choices. Advertising is too expensive unless it all works together.”

JASON COWIE, the owner of Kingpinz Skateboard and Snowboard Shop in Houston, has done a pretty good job of getting his business noticed on the Web. Just type “skateboards in Houston” on a search engine, and his store will be among the first listed.
